At Summit Nanotech Ltd. (“Summit Nanotech”, “we”, “us”, “our”), we are committed to protecting your privacy. The purpose of this Privacy Notice is to outline the kind of information we collect, how we use it and safeguard it, and the choices you have regarding your information. Throughout this Privacy Notice, “personal information” describes information that can be used, either alone or in combination with other information, to identify you.

 

APPLICATION OF THIS PRIVACY NOTICE

 

This Privacy Notice applies to personal information that we collect, use or disclose on the Summit Nanotech website, summitnanotech.ca (the “Site”). In addition, this Privacy Notice applies to information we may collect from you when you communicate with us via email, telephone or other means.

 

HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION

 

We collect your personal information directly from you, with your consent, when you sign up for our newsletter or send an enquiry through the ‘Contact Us forms’ on summitnanotech.ca (the “Forms”).

 

We may also automatically collect certain information when you use our Site:

 

In the legitimate interest of providing you functional access to our site, technical information, including your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, or information about your internet connection (including the domain name of your Internet service provider), and the device you use to access our Site.

 

Details about your Site interactions, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URLs), links that are clicked to, through and from our Site (including date and time), sites visited before coming to our Site, products you viewed or searched for, emails we send that you open, forward, or click through to our Site, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, methods used to browse away from the page.

WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

 

We may collect personal information from you in the Forms that includes your first and last names, email address, organization, job title, country, relevant company experience, phone number, and enquiry details.

 

HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

 

We may use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To present our Site and its contents to you;

  • To respond to your requests, complaints, comments and questions;

  • To compile aggregate data about your usage of the Site, measure Site activities, improve the Site, and detect and prevent security threats; and

  • To send you promotional communications.

 

COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES

 

We may use technologies such as cookies and web beacons to automatically collect certain information about visitors to our Site. We ensure they comply with these obligations through our service agreements with them. We regularly review our choice of service providers so that we maintain protection of the personal information we process through our service provider agreements.

 

We only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we have identified throughout this Privacy Notice, or as otherwise required or permitted by law.

 

Our website servers are in the US, and your personal information may be accessible to regulatory authorities in the US.

 

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

 

In order for us to fulfill the purposes described above of this Privacy Notice, we need to share your information with third parties.

We may share your personal information with the following service providers:

  • Wix, who help us design, administer and maintain the Site;

  • HubSpot, who helps us conduct promotional campaigns.

We only allow third parties to process information for the sole purpose of carrying out the above services on our behalf.

 

We may disclose your personal information with government, regulatory or law enforcement agencies as requested by these agencies, if they have identified their lawful authority to obtain it. We may also disclose your personal information in order to enforce our legal rights; to detect, prevent or address fraud or security issues; and to enforce ours or others’ legal rights, property, or safety.

 

We may also transfer or assign your personal information to an organization because of, or in connection with a sale, merger, consolidation, change in control, transfer of assets, reorganization, or liquidation.

 

We do not trade, rent or sell your personal information.

 

HOW TO REVIEW, MODIFY OR DELETE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

 

Summit Nanotech only wants to communicate with you if you’d like us to. If you would like to change how you hear from us, or update your personal information, follow the below process.

To opt out of email communications Click the “Unsubscribe” button found in the footer of any email from Summit Nanotech or email us at info@summitnanotech.ca. By clicking unsubscribe, your email address will be removed from our mailing list instantly. By emailing us, we will remove you from our mailing list within ten business days.

To request a copy of your personal information: send an email to info@summitnanotech.ca with the subject line “Request for copy of personal data.” Within ten business days of receipt, a file with your data will be sent to you in a .csv Excel file that is easily transferable to another company. Alternatively, send a written request to the mailing address at the bottom of this document.

To request your personal information be permanently deleted or modified: send an email to info@summitnanotech.ca with the subject line “Request for data deletion.” Within ten business days, your data will be permanently deleted and we will send you confirmation it has been done. Alternatively, send a written request to the mailing address at the bottom of this document.

 

AMENDMENTS TO THIS PRIVACY NOTICE

 

Summit Nanotech will review and amend this Privacy Notice periodically when appropriate. This notice is current as of the “last revised” date at the beginning of this document.

Some text on our site may be hyperlinked to a third party website for reference information. When you visit these sites, you leave summitnanotech.ca and we do not control these sites or their privacy practices.
