The team visited the nanotechnology centre at the University of Alberta campus in Edmonton, Alberta. The nanoFAB is a national, open-access training, service, and collaboration centre, focused on academic and industrial applications in micro- and nanoscale fabrication and characterization. With over $84 million in equipment and over 200 pieces of specialized equipment, NanoFAB will be a key asset for the success of Summit Nanotech's lithium extraction technology development.
CTO Jason Hendrick was invited to speak to University of Calgary students in Science 507, an experiential learning course "Emerging Technologies, Entrepreneurial Thinking & Disruptive Innovation in Geoscience”. The focus of this course is innovation in geoscience, through applications of data science, interactive modelling, visualization and visual analytics to problems in geology and geophysics. Jason presented the lithium resources in the WCSB and the importance of innovati
Summit Nanotech has partnered with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) to support the development of their lithium extraction technology. The NRCan CanmetENERGY in Devon, located near Edmonton, focuses on the development of cleaner fossil fuels and related environmental technologies. With approximately 130 scientists, engineers, technologists, managers and support staff, they provide solutions to industry, advice to government policy makers and regulators, and to provide Canadia
