ANALYST, CORPORATE STRATEGY

Summit Nanotech is looking for an Analyst, Corporate Strategy to support and selectively lead initiatives related to researching, analyzing, defining and advancing the strategic goals of the firm. The successful candidate will be a core member of a small but quickly growing Corporate Strategy team and will report to the Manager, Corporate Strategy.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead market information collection and analysis focusing on key market trends, customer and competitor activities, and relative Summit positioning.

  • Support and eventually lead internal financial modelling exercises that guide strategic positioning and business development decisions.

  • Evaluate and support the execution of capital access initiatives including equity raises, grant applications, debt access and creative non-dilutive funding solutions.

  • Support due diligence efforts and decision making related to external M&A and JV activities.

  • Support quarterly strategic planning efforts, including building out executive meeting and board meeting materials.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Engineering or related discipline.

  • 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, financial analysis, strategic planning, M&A, A&D or related field.

  • Experience in evaluating market conditions and business decisions from a financial, technical and/or strategic standpoint.

  • Ability to understand and distill complex technical and market data into decision-useful information.

  • Organized self-starter, comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent tasks.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in a fast-paced or start-up environment is an asset.

Location: Hybrid model of remote work from home and in-office - balance depending on business need.
